It’s been 5 years!
Today marks five years sober.
And honestly… it hits different this year.
There was a time in my life where I was drinking from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep, and I truly didn’t think I would survive it.
Now, my life looks completely different. It’s not perfect. It’s not stress-free. But it’s stable. It’s calm. It’s normal (whatever that is).
And for the first time in my life, I can say I’m genuinely happy.
That might not sound like much to some people—but for me, it’s everything. I used to say all I wanted was a “boring” life. And now I have it.
And I love it.
There’s so much more behind these five years than I could ever fit into one post. So, this Sunday, I’m going to share the full story—what it looked like before, what happened, and how I was able to stay sober through everything that followed.
But for today (and the next few lol)…
I’m just going to sit in my gratitude, spend time with the people I love, and enjoy this moment.
I’m just really grateful to still be here.
